Founded in 1981 Advent Venture Partners was one of the first US-style venture capital firms in Europe.

We have backed, so far, more than 200 companies, with over forty already taken public on exchanges both in Europe and the USA and a similar number successfully sold to trade buyers. Whilst the firm has evolved and the team grown, the aim remains the same: to invest in world-class technology, to back strong entrepreneurs and management teams and to build tomorrow's great companies.

With over £500m of fund commitments under management, our focus is on venture investment at both the early and late stage, in two sectors: Life Sciences and Technology. Our style is active 'hands-on' involvement from a team of professionals who know the industries in which they are investing and who use their extensive networks to deliver success.
