Raj Parekh

Raj joined Advent in January 2006. He brings over 20 years of experience in the Life Science Industry as an entrepreneur and investor. In 1988 he co-founded Oxford GlycoSciences, an Advent-backed company that was one of Europe’s most successful biotechnology companies listed on the LSE and NASDAQ.

Raj has been a Visiting Professor in Biochemistry at Oxford University from where he holds a MA and DPhil. Raj serves on the Board of several Portfolio Companies and is Chairman of Galapagos NV and is a founding Director of Celldex Inc.
